ANTIS TOWNSHIP, BLAIR COUNTY  -  The Bellmeade Manor personal care home is getting a new name, owner and management team and some of the home's current workers say they are left without jobs because of the change.

The Bellmeade Manor  which  is located on East Pleasant Valley Boulevard  in Antis Township  will be known  as  Graystone Manor at Bellmeade  because of its new owner,  developer Jeff Long who  operates a number of Graystone senior housing developments in the region.

The personal care and assisted living facility in Bellmeade will now be operated by Quality First Health Care L.L.C. which is a new Home Nursing Agency Company. While some people familiar with the operation of the Bellmeade Manor say this will be a positive change, a number of homes current workers say they are losing their jobs because of the new management taking over.

Some of t he soon to be unemployed workers say they will have plenty of company as the new management team takes over.  The soon to be former workers are upset because they though they were going to keep their jobs under the new owner.

No official information is available on how many current Bellmeade Manor employees are losing their jobs.  But the new management team says their workforce is ready to take over with at least 18 new employees already hired for the Quality First Healthcare Team.   More information on the future operation the   personal care home will be released after the change of ownership becomes official on Tuesday.
