Ben Meyer lives right next to the crash site and ran out his door to see a tanker on its side and a pick-up truck smashed against the curb. The pick-up truck driver was okay, but the tanker driver was stuck.
"He was pinned so bad that there was nothing we could do but sit and pray and reassure him somebody was coming" said Meyer.
Crews were able to free the driver, he suffered minor injury and no one else was injured.
The roadway remained closed for over 7 hours as crews worked on clean up. Minute Man Environmental Services owned the tanker and brought in their own crew to drawn it and upright it.
Your News Leader was told no brine leaked from that vehicle, but a small amount of diesel fuel did and there is a creek right next to the crash site. Monday they still had filters in that water to make sure they can soak up that fuel.
