We have an update to Blair County's drop-off recycling program.

Recycling bins at Sam's Club in Altoona  remain for now.
The IRC - the agency charged with recycling in the county says they'll be gone by October 3rd.

They're working with local haulers to offer private drop-off points and expand curbside recycling where it's not mandated.

The compost facility in Dysart is staying open and accepts all recyclables there including electronics.

You can also drop off recycling items at a private drop off at the borough building in Williamsburg or take your recyclables to Burgmeiers and Waste Management's transfer stations Old Sixth Ave. in Altoona.
