BELLEFONTE, CENTRE COUNTY - Jerry Sandusky's sentencing is only anticipated to last one day, but that isn't stopping local businesses from making preparations.

October 9th is right around the corner and that can only mean one thing.

"We're definitely getting ready for it," Cool Beans Owner Wendy Fultz said.

Rewind just a few months ago and the scene in downtown Bellefonte was a lot different.

"It was just a constant flow from opening to close. We opened early because we knew they were out there starting pretty early, so we're going to call in some more favors," Fultz said.

Wendy Fultz says she definitely noticed a major increase in foot traffic during those two weeks in June.

"It's definitely safe to say we doubled because there was such an influx," she said. "So many people here for so long."

John Luchovich agrees.

"Probably a 50-percent increase at the soda fountain," Luchovich said. "Everybody found out we made good old-fashioned milkshakes and everybody wanted them."

So what about this time around?

"They definitely had their favorites because they were in here so often everyday, so we got to know what they like, so we'll have everything ready for them when they come back," Fultz said.

Luchovich on the other hand, says his business isn't anticipating as big of an increase.

"This time since it's only one day or a couple of hours, we should be fine," he said.

One thing both Fultz and Luchovich do know, "We'll take what we can get."

Jerry Sandusky will be sentenced October 9th at the Centre County Courthouse.
