On today's show, we get the details on a race for a good cause happening this weekend! On September 29th, the Fun in the Mud 2nd Annual Knights Victory Race will take place at Muddy Run Raceway. (Rte 453, Smoke Run)
Organizers say if you enjoyed getting dirty and muddy as a kid, you will LOVE this 5K/10 Obstacle event! You don't have to run, if you don't want to. You can also walk, but they promise that you'll have fun either way. Today, we talk with veteran racer Tony who shares his experience with last year's race. We also hear from Andrew who plans to run this year for the first time!
There are prizes available and if you win, you will be inducted into "Knighthood" in a special ceremony, as you are officially dubbed a "knight" with a real sword! Cash prizes will also be awarded.
Prices:
The Competitive Race is $35 for pre-registered racers. $40 at the door.
(additional prices for other race categories - see website below for details)
Proceeds benefit the Moshannon Valley Community Education Foundation.
If you'd like to race, sign up online or on-site the day of the race.
