Rev. Walter Bradshaw Trial Begins In Bedford County

BEDFORD, BEDFORD COUNTY- Walter Bradshaw faces 23 charges related to child rape.
He was arrested in 2010 after police say a young girl came forward saying she was molested by the now-63 year old back in 2007 or 2008.

The trial began with the alleged victim taking the stand just feet away from Bradshaw as she retold her story to the jury.
Bradshaw's defense attorney tried to discredit the girl's testimony and brought up discrepancies between the story she told on the stand today and her original deposition.
At one point, Judge Thomas Ling stepped in, asked the jury to leave the room, and warned Bradshaw's attorney against changing the verbiage of the alleged victim's deposition transcript.
Later a janitor from the alleged victim's school took the stand and told the jury about an instance where she says she saw Bradshaw kiss the girl on the mouth.
The girl's mother recently pleaded no contest to charges she took the girl to Bradshaw, and the mother is now in prison.
