Jessica Maxon has been parking cars at the Flight 93 Memorial site for three years. She volunteers with Mount Aloysius and the Pennsylvania Mountain Service Corps. She grew up in Clearfield and remembers when Flight 93 crashed in the field where the memorial now stands. She was affected by it because partly she lived so close to the tragedy and so she wants to honor the memory of the fallen.
Jessica Kaltreider's parents were part of the search and rescue mission with the Civil Air Patrol here 11 years ago. And she's come to the memorial every year since then. But this is her first year helping park cars with. She's glad she can help in her way just like her parents did in their way.
The volunteers plan to be back next year helping to park cars, because the job needs to be done, and they want to serve.
