Attendance was just under 98,000 for the opener, where it was slow going in the first quarter for Penn State.
But finally with a few seconds left before quarter ended, Matt Mcgloin tossed the ball to Bill Belton, who took it in for the score. The touchdown put PSU up 7-0 after the extra point.
After an Ohio field goal in the 2nd quarter made it a 7-3 game, PSU was driving once again, just before the end of the first half.
McGloin found Matt Lehman in the endzone this time, putting the Nittany Lions up 14-3 at the half.
The second half, though, is where Penn State faltered.
Ohio QB Tyler Tettleton took over, throwing 2 TD throws, and running in one more.
The Nittany Lions couldn't score at all in the second half, as Ohio gets the 24-14 victory. This is the first time the Bobcats have ever beaten the Nittany Lions.
Penn State will take on Virginia on September 8th.
