Two New Cases of Swine Flu

By: Dirk Copland
Updated: September 1, 2012

SOMERSET COUNTY - The State Health Department is reporting two new confirmed cases of swine flu in Pennsylvania and one probable case.  Health officials say all  occured among young participants in the Somerset County Fair, which ran from August 18th to the 25th.  The same virus  recently caused illnesses linked to  the Huntingdon County Fair.  The Health Department says the illnesses are mostly in children and are typical for the flu.  While this strain of flu is associated with live pigs, it isn't linked with the handling or eating of pork products.

Comments

I though they was keeping a close eye on the pigs, there must be some other way people are spreading it.
