CLEARFIELD, CLEARFIELD COUNTY - If you need to reach dispatchers in Clearfield County for a non-emergency, there's a change in the numbers to call.

Folks can use the toll-free line, which is 1-800-689-3535.

Local callers can also dial 765-1533.

Again, those are for non-emergencies.

9-1-1 is always the number to call in an emergency.

The county recently got rid of several phone lines. Managers said that's saving them about $1,600 a month.

Cell phone use is changing the landscape of dispatch centers around the country. In Clearfield, officials said nearly 60 percent of calls now coming in are from mobile devices.
