EBENSBURG, CAMBRIA COUNTY--- Family and friends joined together Thursday to build a playground in a little girl's memory.

Two year old Autumn Lynn Danchanko passed away in a tragic accident in October 2011.  Dana and Eric Danchanko want others who mourn the loss of a child and children who have lost an immediate family member realize that they are not alone.  The Danchanko's started the foundation to revitalize play areas and create areas of beautification to provide comfort and support to those grieving.

"We hope that through Autumn's Angels Foundation, we can foster health, fitness and education for surviving family members", explained Eric Danchanko.

The first playground was put together Thursday.  The Danchanko's raised more than $32,000.  Community members donated their time, supplies and tools to help with the project.

"It's rough I've been there as a friend and its been very difficult watching them go through something like this," said Chris Formica, a family friend.  "I have three kids of my own, I can't imagine what they are going through but there doing good things."

"Without the support of the local community our foundation would not make it" explained the Danchanko's, "We cannot thank people enough for the support we have received". "It feels great to give back to the community".

For more information or to make a donation contact the Community Foundation for the Alleghenies, Autumn's Angels Foundation, 16 Market Street, Suite 4, Johnstown, PA, 15901, 814.536.7741, www.cfalleghenies.org .  All donations are tax deductible.
