All Night Album Rock Reunion Next Weekend!

It was one of the most popular radio shows of the late '70's and early '80's. "All Night Album Rock" rocked the airwaves on WFBG with original host Steve Kelsey "The All Night Animal" for years. Now, fans of the show are bringing the memories back with a reunion event next weekend.
The All Night Album Rock benefit is August 17, 2012 at 30something in Greenwood. Doors open at 8:00 p.m.
The event is a tribute the Steve Kelsey and "ALL NIGHT ALBUM ROCK" radio show that featured local bands and intruduced new rock music to the local community.
On today's Central PA Live, local music historian Randy Loose, event producer Scott Cessna and former Black Diamond band member Denny Frank joined Dawn to talk about the upcoming event and what the popular radio show meaned to them.

Loose is currently writting a book about his experiences with the show titled, "All Night Album Rock: The Story and Legacy of One of America's Great Radio Shows". Randy has won contests over 2100 times on the radio, and is pursuing a Guiness World Record on his winnings. He's also stared a facebook page to celebrate "All Night Album Rock", which was one of his favorite radio shows.
Cessna produces various events throughout Central PA. He is also helping to coordinate this reunion. And, Frank will reunite with members of Black Diamond for the first time in years, as they perform together on stage at the reunion event. Also confirmed to perform are members of the band "Pulse". Many former band members are coming in from states such as New Jersey and California for this night.

Event features: Blu Voodoo and reunion appearances by members of "Pulse" and "Black Diamond". Special Guest is John McKelvey of "Pirhana" and "The Front". Joining them on stage will be members from your favorite WFBG All Night Album Rock era bands.
