PORT MATILDA, CENTRE COUNTY - Police say a Centre County teenager shot another teen in the neck with a BB gun.

It happened in an apartment in the 100 block of South High Street in Port Matilda around 3:00 Thursday afternoon.

Several teens were at the apartment. Police say a fourteen year old boy found a b-b gun and was handling it recklessly. Eventually he pointed the gun at a 14 year old girl and shot her in the neck.

The girl was treated and released from the Mount Nittany Medical Center. And now the boy will be charged with Simple Assault and Recklessly Endangering another person.

It happened two weeks after a Bedford County teen fatally shot his friend while they were playing with a gun.
