Saturday was a celebration for man's best friend.

The 3rd annual Paws 4 a Cause took place in Altoona this afternoon.

Despite a little rain, pet owners could treat their furry friends to nail painting, professional dog portraits, and even receive a photo ID license for their pets. The Blair County Humane Society was on hand to scout for new owners for dogs that are up for adoption. Jeannie Faust, the Coordinator for the event was pleased with the turnout and say the best part about events like this is how much people appreciate their pets.

"Just to see all the different kinds of breeds, it's just so much fun to just to be able to pet them, you see them when people walk them and that, ask what their name is. And pet them."

If you're interested in adopting a dog or any other furry animal from the Blair County Humane Society, you can check out their website at www.centralpahumane.org.
