UNIVERSITY PARK, CENTRE COUNTY -- Several trees have now been planted outside Beaver Stadium where the Joe Paterno statue used to be.

It's been a week since the statue was removed by Penn State maintenance crews.  University President Rodney Erickson said on "Face the Nation" Sunday that the statue was a "lightning rod for controversy."  The statue's removal came ten days after the release of the Freeh Report.

Penn State says that the statue is in a secure location and it's unclear what will happen to it next.
