Former NBA, Johnstown Native Died

JOHNSTOWN, CAMBRIA COUNTY--- Pat Cummings died in a New York apartment Wednesday; the cause of his death is under investigation.

Written reports state the 55-year old was found unconscious on a friends couch by his girlfriend, and was pronounced dead shortly later.  An autopsy is set for Thursday, but officials do not suspect foul place.

Cummings played for Greater Johnstown High School.  He went on to play for five NBA teams including Miami Heat and The New York Knicks.
