The Blair County District Attorney office released a statement Wednesday stating they will not press charges against the Allegheny Township man who shot Brandon Zeth to death last January.
They say they are legally prohibited from filing charges, as the case complies with the state's self defense law, the castle doctrine.
Zeth was shot standing on Timothy Lepore's back porch, banging on his window late at night.
Police say Zeth mistakenly believed he was at his girlfriend's house next-door.
Lepore said he thought Zeth was an intruder and was acting in self defense.
Blair County District Attorney Richard Consiglio releases his statement on the death of Brandon Zeth.
