PIAA Playoffs: Altoona Baseball, Central Softball Look to Advance

(Altoona) - The Altoona baseball team has made it to the quarterfinal round of the PIAA State Playoffs.

They knocked off WPIAL champ Seneca Valley 9-4 Monday and will now play Mt. Lebanon, the District 7 runner-up.

As for the Central softball team, they crushed 17 hits, and scored 14 runs in a route of Cranberry in the opening round.

The Lady Dragons now have a date with Deer Lakes in the PIAA Quarterfinals.
