TYRONE, BLAIR COUNTY - Old monitors, stereos, and other electronic equipment were all collected outside Tyrone Area High School on Saturday.

Cars lined up to drop off old electronics as part of a program organized by the Blair County Department of Solid Waste and WeRecycle.

Stacks of TVs, piles of computers made up just some of the thousands of pounds of electronics collected.

"We anticipated a decent volume and we got it so we're happy about that," WeRecycle Event Manager, Joe Ntiamoah said. "The town is happy because they got rid of their junk."

In the end, enough electronics were collected to fill two tractor trailers.
