The race for U.S. Senate had 2 Democrats and 5 Republicans. On the Democratic side, incumbent Bob Casey jr. was campaigning against Joseph Vodvarka for another 6-year term. Casey will move on the general election.
On the Republican side, it was David Christian, Marc Scaringi, Steve Welch, Tom Smith and Sam Rohrer on the ballot. The unofficial winner was Tom Smith.
