Police: Drugs, Money, Cars, Gun Confiscated

The Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General, Bureau of Narcotics Investigation announces the arrest of Michael Eugene Calderwood, Creig Allen Shultz, and Kourtney Lorene Thomas subsequent to the execution of a sealed search warrant on a vehicle returning to Altoona from New Jersey with a major load of heroin.
The search warrant yielded the seizure of 3,699 packets of heroin with an estimated street value of $100,000 and pound of high grade marijuana with a street value of $1,600 and over a $1000 in U.S. currency.
Shortly after Shultz and Thomas were taken into custody, Calderwood was arrested going to Shultz and Thomas' apartment where he was attempting to meet Shultz to pick up most of the heroin and marijuana for distribution in the Blair County area.
Officers also executed a search warrant at 1214 11th Avenue, Apt #404 and seized 780 more packets of heroin with an estimated street value nearing $20,000, (1) pound of high grade marijuana with a street value of $6400, suboxone pills and sublingual strips, ecstasy pills, other controlled pills, owe sheets, and distribution materials and paraphernalia.
Officers seized (3) vehicles, multiple cellular telephones, and a high powered rifle.

Michael Eugene Calderwood W/M/30 of 15836A Raystown Rd, James Creek, Pa.
Creig Allen Shultz W/M/27 of 1214 11th Ave Apt 404, Altoona, Pa.
Kourtney Lorene Thomas W/F/24 of 1214 11th Ave Apt 404, Altoona, Pa.
Charges:
Conspiracy, Possession with intent to deliver heroin and marijuana, simple possession of heroin and marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
All three subjects were arraigned by On-Duty MDJ Steve Jackson and committed to the Blair County Prison in lieu of $500,000 straight cash bail. Preliminary hearings set for Wednesday, April 4, 2012 before MDJ Kelly at Central Court.
