The crash happened around 2:30 pm Wednesday on Rockwood Road. Police said the driver of the Pepsi truck crossed the center line, causing the crash.
The driver of the bus, an adult aide and three students were flown to Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center in Johnstown, one student was flown to Children's Hospital in Pittsburgh and 17 students were taken to Somerset Hospital and released shortly after. One of the students taken to Conemaugh was also released as of 11 pm Wednesday.
Gregg Snyder was one of the first people to respond to the scene. He described it as chaotic, but he was doing anything he could to help the emergency responders. Trooper Stephen Limani says the students who were not injured as badly were taking care of others after the crash.
All of the students on the bus were coming from the Somerset County vo-tech. They were all in grades 10 through 12 at the Turkeyfoot Valley School District.
