Chocolate Chip Crumb Cake

Ingredients

    CAKE
    2 cups all-purpose flour
    1 cup granulated sugar
    2 teaspoons baking powder
    1/4 teaspoon salt
    4 tablespoons (1/2 stick) butter, softened
    3/4 cup milk
    1 egg
    1 teaspoon vanilla extract

    TOPPING
    1 cup all-purpose flour
    1/2 cup light brown sugar
    1/2 cup granulated sugar
    1 cup chocolate chips, chopped
    1/4 pound (1 stick) butter
    2 teaspoons ground cinnamon


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Coat a 12- x 15-inch rimmed baking sheet with cooking spray.   
  2. In a large bowl, combine CAKE ingredients. Spread evenly on prepared baking sheet.    
  3. In a medium bowl, combine TOPPING ingredients using a fork or pastry cutter, until coarse crumbs form. Evenly sprinkle over batter.    
  4. Bake 15 to 20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Let cool before serving.
