Basketball dominates winter sports for girls right now and those who play it say anyone can get in the game - with the right attitude and some hard work.
It takes a lot of skill to be the best you can be it takes a lot of practice and a lot of time
Morgan Taylor should know. This Tyrone High School hoopster's being pounding the hardwood since she was 5 years old.
Coach Shelley Hettinger says, "It's a sport on our team we take very serious so I think you have to have a certain amount of dedication, you have to be willing to work hard."
Teammate Jordan Swogger agrees and says it's a great workout too.
"We condition a lot so it's very helpful."
Jordan's grandfather was a basketball coach and she learned very early just how much physical strength you need to compete.
Both girls are quick to point out that anyone can begin to play and benefit from this exercise.
"It strengthens your legs and stuff because you're using them a lot. "
"It's vigorous - there's a lot of running involved - also a lot of being in defensive stances - you're using a lot of muscles and physical activity."
