Woman Ruins Showroom During Test Drive

By: Brian Thompson
Updated: September 29, 2011
If a test drive is any indication, it doesn't appear as if a woman in Germany will be buying a new car.

The U.K.'s "Orange" news says Marlies Schiller crashed into five different vehicles in the showroom while trying to determine if she wanted to purchase a new ride.   The 77-year-old woman's destructive driving finally came to an end when she crashed through a display window and ran into a parked car outside.   All told, Schiller caused an estimated 234-thousand dollars in damage.

Fortunately, not everything inside the showroom was ruined, as a police spokesman noted, quote, "The coffee machine seems to be the only thing she missed."
