HERSHEY, Pa. -- The 2010-11 high school wrestling season came to an end on Saturday in Hershey as a few local wrestlers were crowned state champions.

CLASS AA
In the 112 weight class, junior Nick Roberts of North Star pinned senior Evan Link of Penn Cambria at 4:14. These two familiar foes also met two years ago in the state finals in the 103 weight class with Roberts also getting the win. However, Link had defeated Roberts in the Southwest Regional final just a week ago. Roberts' pin was the only one in the Class AA championships on Saturday.

Junior John Rizzo of Richland hung on to beat Wes Tillett of Shamokin in the heavyweight class, 3-2. It was his second state title in a row. Not only is Rizzo the only repeat state winner in Richland school history, but he also the only AA wrestler to win gold in his sophomore and junior year, giving himself the chance for a three-peat.

CLASS AAA
Junior Brian Brill of Central Mountain defeated Nick Catalano of Canon-McMillan, 6-2 for the state title at 145.

Tanner Hough of Westmont Hilltop fell short of his state title bid at 130 to Zach Horan of Nazareth, 5-1.
