Saint Francis Red Flash Raise Money for Making Strides of Central PA

LORETTO, CAMBRIA COUNTY -- The Saint Francis Lady Red Flash helped raised money for Making Strides Against Breast Cancer and took over first place in their conference all at the same time.

Saturday, February 12th, the Red Flash hosted their 4th Annual Think Pink game to raise money for Making Strides Against Breast Cancer for Central PA.

The team all wore pink uniforms which are still be auctioned off online at
http://auction.sfuathletics.com/auction.aspx until noon on February 20th.

Pink t-shirts were sold as a fundraiser as well.

WTAJ -TV Morning and Noon Anchor Amy Mearkle served as the honorary coach for the game.

Saint Francis claimed a 84-66 victory over arch rival Robert Morris and took first place in their division.

The theme of this years Think Pink game was "Believe". 

Head Coach Susan Robinson Fruchtl says "this is actually a theme for the event and for our year, I want these girls to believe in themselves and be the best they can be."

The Lady Red Flash also particpate in the annual Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk held in Altoona each October.
