COVINGTON TOWNSHIP, CLEARFIELD COUNTY - A manhunt is underway for a Clearfield County man wanted for sexually assaulting a four year old girl. State police have launched an extensive search for the suspect, 43 year old Sherman Graham.

State Police say this crime took place late Monday morning. An arrest warrant has been issued for Graham charging him with rape and other sexual assault charges involving the little girl. Troopers say Graham fled into some woods near his home after the sexual assault was discovered. Troopers released a four year old picture from the department of corrections in the effort help the public identify the wanted suspect. Graham is described as five foot ten inches tall, weighing three hundred pounds with long brown hair, a mustache and a small goatee. He was last seen wearing a brown tee-shirt and possibly shorts.

After the crime was discovered, Graham reportedly fled on foot into some woods near his home in the three hundred block of McCool road in Covington Township, Clearfield County. That's near the community of Frenchville. Anyone with information about the suspect is urged to contract the State Police at the Clearfield Barracks.
