A Community Comes Together For A Good Cause

SMITHFIELD TOWNSHIP, HUNTINGDON COUNTY--- The Pride Telethon is one of Huntingdon County’s biggest fundraiser and the 4-day event brings in close to $200,000 every year.
All of the proceeds raised go to help those with special needs, more than 700 people in the county alone use services provided by Pride.  That is why the annual telethon is one of their most important fundraisers each year, but more than the money raised organizers say it’s about the community coming together.
“None of our services are denied due to people being unable to pay for medical equipment and costs…this telethon helps supplement those free services,” said Pride Director Sandy Bair.
The telethon wraps up late Saturday night, click on the link to watch the fundraiser or to donate.
