Former DA Removed from Scott Case

CENTRE COUNTY - Former PSU football player Austin Scott cannot sue the former Centre County District Attorney.
A judge in U.S. District court says former DA Michael Madiera and former A.D.A. Lance Marshall cannot be named as defendants in a lawsuit filed by Scott.
Scott was accused of raping a woman in 2007 and was dismissed from the Penn State football team as a result. He was later acquitted of the charges and now he's suing the university and the woman who accused him, claiming the charges hurt his chances at a career in the NFL.  The lawsuit included Madiera and Marshall, but a US District court ruled they cannot be sued because of prosecutorial immunity.
