REYNOLDSVILLE, JEFFERSON COUNTY - For 18 years, John "Squeak" Scolese served as chief of the Reynoldsville Fire Department.

"Very good guy would do anything for the community (and) always willing to help out" said Captain Tony Rhed.

In the fall, Scolese broke his leg.

"He had an accident in his house where his leg was broken. He had a fracture and they actually had to amputate the leg" said Rhed.

On Sunday, the men and women of the fire department will trade in their gear for aprons and hope to serve over 700 spaghetti dinners.

The money raised at the spaghetti benefit will go to Scolese and his family.

"For all the time Squeak's put in the community, putting in countless countless hours for everyone else that is in need now, it's time to help one of our own" said assistant chief, Dan Stitt

The benefit will be from 11:00am until 3:00 or until sell out.  It is $6.00 per person and $3.00 for children under 10. There will also be a chinese auction and 50/50.
