RICHLAND TOWNSHIP, CAMBRIA COUNTY - Schools across the state and the country are always concerned with how to make ends meet many of them worked together Wednesday night to come up with ideas.

Bill Hargreaves and John DeMarco represent the Westmont Hilltop Alumni Association. They've only been around for a year and a half so they were looking for ideas from some of the more established groups.

Dozens of people representing nine different schools came to Richland High School Wednesday night for the first ever school summit on fundraising ideas. They're all united by need. With state and federal funding disappearing they're more dependent on philanthropy than ever.

Some schools raffled off time shares. Some showed up to school reunions and asked former classes to help the current ones. A spokesperson from DCED talked about how businesses can direct their tax dollars to fund specific programs through Educational Improvement Tax Credits.
