Fire in Junior High Bathroom

ALTOONA, BLAIR COUNTY - A small fire occurred in the girl's bathroom of Altoona Area Junior High School Tuesday morning.

According to a release from the Altoona Area School District, the fire alarm occurred at approximately 10:40 a.m. Tuesday. All students were safely evacuated.

The fire did not spread from the girl's bathroom and was extinguished prior to the arrival of the Altoona Fire Department.

Fire crews have cleared the building and students returned to classes shortly after 11 a.m. According to the school district classes are operating as normal.
