JOHNSTOWN, CAMBRIA COUNTY--- Hundreds of volunteers turned out Thursday for the second annual Lift Johnstown Project Party.

"People in our community have needs and as a volunteer you help improve someone's life," said Brad Clemenson, Lift Johnstown Coordinator.

The Classic Clown Club was one of more than 60 organizations that spent the day looking to get some new volunteers.

'We needed new members and we thought coming here would be a good way to get people interested," said Janis daily, "Popooree."

'We bring a little bit of cheer into people's lives and a little giggle every now and then too," said Esther Chernicky also known as "Noodle."

The volunteer party wrapped up around seven Thursday but to find out details on how to volunteer click on Lift Johnstown.

The Classic Clown Club meets at 6:45 p.m. on the first and third Wednesdays of the month at East Hills Senior Center in Richland Township.
