The American Red Cross helps hundreds of families facing disaster each year. Now, they need your help.

The PA Heartland Chapter of the Red Cross says in Saint Marys they are in need of blood drive volunteers.

Across Elk, Jefferson, Clearfield and Clarion counties, disaster relief volunteers are needed who can be on call to help families when a disaster like a house fire or flooding strikes.

Jason Bange with the PA Heartland Chapter of the American Red Cross says, "We could never afford the staff cost that would be associated with having all the people necessary to provide our services so those volunteers really make a difference in what we are able to do in our local community. "

If you are interested in volunteering, give them a call at 814-371-2750.
