Mixed Martial Arts are coming to the Jaffa Shrine, and Hollidaysburg Native and Former UFC Fighter, Charlie Brenneman will be back in town to fight Eric Irvin. Amy Gill caught up with the man known as "The Spaniard" and shares his story with CPAL.
Brenneman is making his return to Central Pennsylvania, for one night only, on January 19th. Brenneman was recently dropped from the UFC, and in an effort to get back in, he's dropped from welter weight to light weight (170 pounds to 155 pounds).
Brenneman has been a fixture in Central Pennsylvania for a long time. First, wrestling in Hollidaysburg, and then taking his talents to wrestle for Lock Haven.
He began fighting professionally after a brief stint as a Spanish Teacher in Hollidaysburg.
If you want to see "The Spaniard" in action, the bouts start this Saturday, January 19th at 7 p.m. at the Jaffa Shrine in Altoona.
