"We were moving out and things were falling " said employee Melissa Fenton.
Thursday it was out with the old and in to a new home. They opened the doors to their new One Million dollar facility Thursday. The building was donated by board members Tim and Margie Lanager in memory of their daughter.
It has more space with a separate room for cats, unique animals, small dogs and big dogs.
"We have a nice solid floor to stand on and nothing to worry about. All the dogs are in nice clean safe kennels now so it's really nice" said Fenton.
Each dog kennel is attached to a garage so they can easily play and be taken outside.
The cat room has plenty of windows.
"We got on the spca national website and there was hundreds of thousands of dogs on there so we decided we were going to adopt one" said Amanda Sprickler.
Nine year old Mason found just what he was looking for.
"Well because I have been wanting a collie and we've been looking and this is the only one we found" he said.
Extremely happy to take him home they were the second family to leave with a dog Thursday.
"The shelter right now has 20 dogs available, plus 15 cats and a bunny.
All waiting in the SPCA's new home to find their forever home.
