Wednesday will turn out to be partly to mostly sunny. Despite the sunshine, it's still going to be a seasonably chilly day with highs in the 30s to near 40. A clear sky will dominate us Wednesday night and that will leave us with a cold night with some of the rural valleys dropping into the teens. This area of high pressure will settle just to our south later this week and set the stage for a brighter and milder pattern. With sunshine temperatures will reach up to the lower to middle 40s on Thursday and then to near 50 on Friday. Saturday may also be be mild but an increase in cloudiness may proven the mercury from reaching the 50 degree mark. The next system will bring rain Saturday night into Sunday. Depending on how cold it gets, the rain may start as freezing rain in a few spots Saturday night and then could mix with snow in the higher elevations on Sunday, but again, it will primarily be a rain maker. Behind that system, Monday will be brisk and chilly with scattered flurries and snow showers. More unsettled weather looks likely as we head through the middle of next week but we'll have a better feel as time gets closer.
