EBENSBURG, CAMBRIA COUNTY--- Thursday morning more than 700 runners took part in the 3rd Annual Turkey Trot Thanksgiving Day Race.

"It has become a rather large event," said organizer Mike Bradley, Ebensburg Running Club.

Runners and walkers from 19 states took part in the race that started at Dauntless Fire Station.

The Ebensburg Area Running Club collected non-perishable goods for St. Francis University's Dorothy Day Center.  Proceeds benefited the Dorothy Day Center and Dauntless Fire Company.

"People come from all over for this race," said Bradley.  "It gets bigger each year- we started out with 300 now it's more than doubled."
