ALTOONA, BLAIR COUNTY - Governor Tom Corbett held a news conference Sunday afternoon to let folks know how the state is preparing for Hurricane Sandy.

He stressed this is going to be a major and possibly historic weather event for Pennsylvania. He warned people to be ready to stay in their homes for days if necessary. With the sustained high winds that are expected, power companies might have to wait to even try and restore power.

He added he hopes the meteorologists are wrong, but if they're right all of Pennsylvania is going to have to come together to get through Hurricane Sandy.
