PARK RIDGE, Ill. - Penn State's women's soccer team has clinched the 2012 Big Ten Championship after earning a 1-1 draw against Michigan on Sunday. The No. 4 Nittany Lions have garnered a 9-0-1 Big Ten record with one conference game remaining, and have posted a 15-2-1 overall record this season. The title marks Penn State's 15th consecutive Big Ten Championship, the most consecutive titles by a Big Ten women's program in any sport. The win also clinches the No. 1 seed in the Big Ten Tournament, which will be held Oct. 31 to Nov. 4 in Bloomington, Ind.

After a scoreless first half, Michigan's Nkem Ezurike scored a goal in the 60th minute to give the Wolverine's a 1-0 lead. Nittany Lion senior Christine Nairn knotted up the score on a penalty kick in the 86th minute to force extra play.
