Prior to reporting for WTAJ, Cody worked in different production capacities at CNN's Washington bureau for shows such as The Situation Room, State of the Union and Reliable Sources.
After leaving CNN in 2011, Cody attended graduate school at Syracuse University's Newhouse School of Public Communications.
It was at Newhouse where Cody studied and practiced journalism, graduating in 2012 with a Master's Degree in Broadcast/Digital Journalism. While in graduate school, Cody interned for WKYC in Cleveland, Ohio and WWNY in Watertown, New York.
Cody grew up just west of Pennsylvania in Alliance, Ohio. At the age of 18, Cody ran for and won a city council seat in Alliance. He has also been a guest on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno where he talked about young people becoming involved in politics.
Cody is very excited about having the opportunity to report in Altoona, Pennsylvania, so feel free to send him story ideas, questions and comments at ccombs@wtajtv.com.
