Withing the complex is a 5,000-square foot weight room, hydrotherapy training room, steam room and team lounge. For fans, the arena offers concession stands and an interactive history of Penn State hockey. With a state-of-the-art press box the arena could hold professional hockey games.
Construction was made possible by Terrence M. and Kim Pegula who donated a Penn State record $88 million for Penn State hockey. This helped Penn State hockey move up to NCAA Division I.
The arena is located near the Bryce Jordan Center and will be ready for the 2012-14 season. Both Men's and Women's Hockey will play in the arena.
