(Richmond, Va) - For Altoona Curve infielder Stefan Welch his baseball journey has been somewhat of a different one.

Picked up by the New York Mets when he was only 16, Welch made his way to the United States from Adelaide, Australia.

The Pirates then signed Welch in 2011, and eventually in June he was promoted to Double-Altoona.

K.C. Kantz reports on how the 24 year old is making the most of his opportunity.
