PHILIPSBURG, CENTRE COUNTY - Philipsburg celebrates a recovery story at this year's Relay for Life.

The tight-knit community has gathered around 7-year-old Emily Whitehead. The local girl nearly lost her battle with leukemia, but now shows no sign of cancer after an experimental treatment. Her story was at the center of Philipsburg's Relay for Life.

Another childhood cancer survivor, 14-year-old Abbie Williams can relate. As a toddler, doctors discovered a football size tumor in her stomach. Saturday she walks alongside the growing list of local survivors.
