Johnny Cash Tribute Band Plays on CPAL
By: Laura Hartog and Dawn Pellas
Updated: June 18, 2012
The Johnny Cash tribute band "Ole 97", from Johnstown, rolls into the Central PA Live studio to perform one of the man in black's most popular songs, "I've Been Everywhere".
Singer Randy Hunter and drummer Paul Carpenter talk with Dawn about the band and their music and the hearse that they drive around in to shows! It's true! But, they joke about their transportation choice, saying there's nothing to be afraid of because there's nothing in the hearse except for the band's instruments!
You can see "ole 97" live throughout Central PA this Summer and beyond! And you can buy a CD of their music at their shows.
Upcoming Performances:
June 16: Homer City Fire Dept. Summerfest 7pm
June 22: Thunder in the Valley 7pm
June 22: Croation Hall 10pm
June 24: Thunder in the Valley 1:30pm
June 30: Fluder Party, Windber 3:30pm
