Teacher Pleads Guilty To Student Relationship

MEYERSDALE, SOMERSET COUNTY--- Joshua Covert pleaded guilty Monday after admitting he had a relationship with a 16-year old student.

The 38-year old was a band director and worked at Meyersdale Area High School.  Police charged Covert with indecent assault and corruption of minors; he resigned as a school employee shortly after being charged.

Covert faces up to 15-years in jail; he'll be sentenced July 12, 2012.
