Business Before Hours: Regional Land Use Planning Update

Join the CBICC for Business Before Hours on Wednesday, March 28, from 8:00 to 9:15 a.m. at Hoag's Catering Celebration Hall, 2280 Commercial Blvd., State College. Jim May, Director Centre Region Planning, Central Region Council of Governments will give an update on Regional Land Use Planning. Registration will begin at 7:45 a.m.

Speaker:  Jim May, Director Centre Region Planning, Central Region Council of Governments

Jim May will discuss three projects from the Centre Region Planning Agency related to land planning and economic development.  He will discuss several important goals from the Centre Region Comprehensive Plan Update and summarize some of the results of the Comprehensive Plan Survey.  Mr. May will also provide an update to the "Best Practices Guide to Development Review and Permitting" which is a regional initiative to provide municipalities with suggestions to improve the development review process.  The "best practices" are organized around improving communication with permit applicants, standardizing the permit application process, and using resources to improve permitting performance.

Cost: $15.00 per member, or $25.00 per prospective member/guest
