Cheesy Broccoli Soup

Ingredients
3 Tablespoons melted butter
2 Tablespoons finely chopped onion
3 Tablespoons flour
1/8 teaspoon pepper
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
2 cups milk
2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese
1/2 cup chicken broth
1 and 1/2 cups cooked, chopped broccoli
Directions
Cook onion in butter until tender. Blend in flour and seasonings. Add milk, stirring constantly. Cook slowly until thick. Add cheese, cook until melted. Remove from heat. Stir broth into cheese mixture. Blend in broccoli. Cook until heated through. Serves: 6.
