TIPTON, BLAIR COUNTY -- The "First Family of Pasta Sauce" wants to help make difference in the fight against breast cancer.

For the DelGrosso family, breast cancer is personal. Five members of the family, including two in the past year, have been diagnosed with the disease. Ages of the pink ribbon warriors range from forty to late sixties, both male and female. In order to generate awareness of breast cancer and help raise funds for life-saving research, the DelGrosso family is proud to announce their support of the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.

For the month of October, when you purchase La Famiglia DelGrosso pasta sauces, DelGrosso Foods will donate 5% of all sales of the following three flavors; Aunt Mary Ann's Sunday Marinara, Uncle Fred's Fireworks Sauce, and Aunt Linda's Arrabbiata Memories, to BCRF to honor the three 2nd generation family members who have survived the battle against this disease.

The DelGrosso Family is also a big supporter of the American Cancer Society. DelGrosso Foods is one of the main sponsors for this year's Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk for Central PA.  Denise DelGrosso Gilliland will be the featured survivor speaker at this year's walk which will take place on Saturday, October 16th, 2010 at the Penn State Altoona Campus.
